Monets Garden's

It rained all day but it did not stop our enjoyment of Monet gardens at Giverny . For a 12 euro entrance fee you can get a combined ticket that includes the Musee de Impressionnismes. The exhibition was of the impressionist Maximilien Luce but prehaps a little surprisingly did not include any of Monet's painting.
The drive to Amboise was uneventful. The jouney taking around three and a half hours to Hotel La Breche an old style French Logis full of charm. The room was clean but decoration a little tired. Had an excellent meal, tomatao and local cheese tart, Cock au vin and then a pear tart and coffee.
